Abstract
A double-blind trial of droperidol as a premedicant is reported in which droperidol was found to increase preoperative anxiety (P<0.025) and tremor (P<0.025) without producing significant drowsiness or antiemesis. The rationale of using droperidol as a premedicant is questioned. © 1972 John Sherratt and Son Ltd.
