Alleviation of job burnout of teachers through construction of psychological capital

Abstract

Teachers today ore under an enormous pressure to train and cultivate innovative talents. Therefore, job burnout is not uncommon among teachers. This paper attempts to alleviate the job burnout of teachers through the construction of psychological capital (PsyCap). First, the research framework for easing job burnout through PsyCap construction was established based on the theory on PsyCap and comprehensive theory. Then, a questionnaire survey on PsyCap and job burnout was conducted in a higher vocational technical school. The survey data were analyzed on SPSS based on three dimensions of PsyCap, namely, expectation, positivity and perseverance. The results show that PsyCap of teachers and each of its three dimensions ore negatively correlated with their job burnout. The research results provide a scientific reference for the mental health management of teachers.
