PROPAGAÇÃO VEGETATIVA DO PIQUIÁ (Caryocar villosum Pers.) POR ESTAQUIA. ()

Abstract

SUMÁRIO O piquiá (Caryocar villosum) é árvore nativa da Bacia Amazônica com potencial para plantios florestais pelo crescimento rápido e produção de madeira de boa qualidade. Como a produção anual de sementes não é abundante e pelas dificuldades na coleta, os autores estudaram a propagação vegetativa com estacas de material juvenil o qual induziu o crescimento de brotação nos tocos. As estacas enraizaram bem sob 50% de sombreamento e com ausência de reguladores de crescimento.SUMMARY The piquiá (Caryocar villosum) is a tree native to the Amazon Basin with a potencial for forestation became of fast growth and wood quality. As seed production is not abundant and also difficult of processing, the authors studied vegetative propagation with juvenile cuttings which were induced to grow on stubbs -of young prunned plants. The cuttineo rooted well under 50% screen shade and with out rooting regulators.
