La face cachée d'une « communauté de pratique technologique»

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the masked face of a technological community of practice (TCP) in analysing in depth its dynamics within an Information Systems Department. The results of this research suggest that the Internet projects managers use TCPas a resource in the construction of local strategies. TCP supports the individual and collective learning and help project managers to cope with ambiguities of their daily activities but it also generates internal tensions and tensions within the organization. In analysing the political dimension of the TCP, I draw aside any idyllic vision about it and I underline structural factors allowing to cultivate communities of practices in a high technological environment. © 2007 Lavoisier, Paris.
