Abstract
Despite the various studies related to the child consumer, little is known about perceptions about money and the precedents that motivate purchases. Therefore, the objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between attitudes towards money and purchase intention in children aged between 10 and 12. A new theoretical model was considered, in which the variable attitude towards money had a three-dimensional model structure. The hypotheses were contrasted through a structural relations model that used the PLS technique based on a sample of 350 individuals. It is demonstrated that, in this segment, there exists a significant relationship between the emotional and cognitive components of money with the purchase intention.
