Abstract

Geothermal energy is a relatively benign source of power. The potential negative impacts can be mitigated to a large degree. This is evidenced by the co-existence of Olkaria geothermal power project with wildlife conservation, and integration of social and economic issues for 24 years. © IAIA 2007.
