Abstract

This paper presents details of powertrain system modelling of an electric vehicle (EV), which is based on the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) mathematical models, the transmission and the longitudinal dynamic of the EV. The traction system parameters were estimated using the Nonlinear Minimum Square (NLS), algorithm and experimental data. Experiments and simulations were performed to verify the accuracy of the results and the effectiveness of the models. The system has been modeled and simulated by using the Matlab and Simulink platform.
