Abstract

A standardized method for detg. chlorophyll pigments (mainly pheophytins) in crude vegetable oils was developed by collaborative study of rape oils. The pigments were detd. by spectrophotometry at 670 nm. Repeatability, expressed as coeff. of variation, was 0.4 with high contents of chlorophyll pigments and 1.4 with low contents; the corresponding values for reproducibility were 1.3 and 6.0, resp
