Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the application of organic fertilizer as basic fertilizer with different dosages for the growth of Bio-Grass grass. Observations were conducted at the Pulukan Breeding Center BPTU-HPT Denpasar for 3 months. This study used an experimental method with a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 3 treatments and 9 replications with a total sample of 27 clumps of Bio-Grass grass. The treatments consisted of P0 = no organic fertilizer, P1 = 1 kg/clump, and P2 = 2 kg/clump. The results presented that the increasing dosage of organic fertilizer as basic fertilizer was able to significantly increased (P<0.05) the number of shoots, plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, and fresh weight of Bio-Grass. The highest average value for all observation parameters was shown by plants using organic fertilizer at a dosage of 2 kg/plant clump (P2). The number of shoots, plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, and fresh weight of Bio-Grass grass at P2 were 27.22 shoots; 242 cm; 113 leaves; 114.11 cm; and 5.06 kg/clump, respectively. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the higher dosage of organic fertilizer (P2 = 2kg/clump) leads the higher growth and production of Bio-Grass compared to treatments P1 and P0.
