Abstract
The test of 6-minute walk, is a tool to assess exercise tolerance, need for supplemental oxygen at the time of physical activity and response to rehabilitation treatment was modified as a test of 6-minute walk and applied in subjects with heart and lung clinical entities mainly proving reliable, objective, safe and inexpensive, is performed by placing the patient to walk at a sustained rate without running into a circuit with a known distance for six minutes, during application of the test will be done continuous monitoring of vital functions, oxygen saturation and symptoms during the application of the test at the beginning and end of the application of the test was to evaluate the magnitude of dyspnea using the Borg scale modificated version, which has a range of 0 to 10 points, with zero being the absence of respiratory distress and 10 the maximum, the overall test was used for comparison of pre and post treatment response, rehabilitation, and functional status as a predictor of morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to review the test of 6-minute walk in patients with COPD.
