Abstract

A combination of gel electrophoresis and paper electrophoresis is used for the identification of mucopolysaccharides after the action of specific mucopolysaccharidases. Small amounts of heparin, heparitin sulfates, chondroitin sulfates, and hyaluronic acid can be distinguished in a mixture by this procedure. © 1972.
