Abstract
The Sidi Kankouch Beach is part of the Mediterranean coastline of Tangier in the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region and represents a strategic area where environmental issues and land-use planning challenges intersect. This coastal zone is under increasing demographic pressure, exacerbated by the effects of climate change, particularly the intensification of coastal erosion. In this study, we adopt an integrated approach using GIS tools for data processing and visualization. This methodology allows for the identification of areas most vulnerable to coastal changes, with a particular focus on sectors exposed to coastal erosion. The results obtained provide a better understanding of coastal dynamics and form an essential basis for sustainable management of coastal territories. By integrating these analyses into coastal planning strategies, this study aims to propose appropriate solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change and preserve the ecological and socio-economic balance of the region.
