Abstract

In general, the pipes and fittings leaks are analyzed like an orifice leak. Though, each kind of failure have particular characteristic in discharge coefficient and exponent. Besides, although the leak discharge is related with the failure area, many times is not possible calculate this component. Hence, the leak equation must be related with knew variables like diameter and characteristic length of a failure.
