Abstract

1. 1. A case of ochronosis in which the known pigmentation occurred only in three of the right costal cartilages is reported. 2. 2. The condition was associated with a chronic streptococcus infection and arthritis, subsequent to amputation of the breast for malignant disease. The relationship of the infection and ochronosis is problematic. 3. 3. The views concerning the etiology of the condition are reviewed. © 1927.
