Abstract

Sustainable public cooperation is a prominent topic, yet comprehensive research on its status and processes is lacking. This study analyzes articles from the Web of Science Core Collection between 2001 and 2024 using CiteSpace for visual bibliometric analysis to understand the general landscape, interaction dynamics, research hotspots, and future research trends on sustainable public cooperation. Our results indicate rapid growth in sustainable public cooperation research. Interdisciplinary studies in environmental science, medicine, and economics are particularly prominent. Key global challenges such as climate change, food safety, and public health are central topics of interest. Public cooperation models include public-private partnerships, cross-sectoral collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. These models can help achieve global sustainable development by establishing cooperation networks, creating new cooperation mechanisms, forming innovation alliances, building integration platforms, and designing innovative solutions to global challenges. Future research should focus on addressing humanity’s future by employing effective strategies for public cooperation to tackle global health issues and environmental challenges while fostering socio-economic development. In conclusion, this study enhances scholars’ understanding and is a valuable reference for future research.
