Abstract

The ether extract of Sargassum tortile, a marine alga, was examined and a new isoprenoid chromenol was isolated. The structure of this compound was determined to be Ia on the basis of the chemical and spectroscopic evidence. © 1975, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
