Mesus pseudogigas sp. nov. is described based on two females (type locality: Corumba, Mato Grosso, Brazil). The new species is very similar to M. gigas Reichardt, 1974, mainly by the large size and by the lateral triangular expansion over the antennal insertions. Figures of the new species and a key for the five known species of the genus are given.Record 3 of 654 in Zoological Record v.140 2004
