The low-profile coaster Ruby was recently handed over during festive acceptance trials, celebrating the completion of a second yard-number by a newly established shipyard. The new coaster Ruby, however, is the second ship designed, built and finished by Shipyard Vervako. The ship is a low profile coaster with an adjustable overhead clearance line and has been specially designed for transport of heavy steel rolls and parts, general cargo and bulk cargoes. The principal particulars and design features of the vessel are reviewed in this article.
