Abstract
A triple based approach to syntactically recognizing OWL DL files is described in detail. An incremental runtime refinement algorithm and two compile time algorithms are given. Many aspects of OWL DL syntax are addressed. These techniques are combined into a streaming OWL recogniser. This shows a threefold time and space improvement over abstract syntax tree based approaches. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2004.
