Abstract

(Figure Presented) Lindqvist structures: We report the isolation of the all-vanadium(III) analogue (see figure) of the fully reduced (all-vanadium(IV)) hexavanadate structure from formal substitution of the {VIIICl} 2+ and {VIVO}2+ fragments. The chemistry can be extended to the analogous CrIII and FeIII cluster anions. Magnetic data for the series are presented. © 2010 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
