Abstract

The objective of the article was to describe the technological management of companies of domiciliary public services in Riohacha, Colombia. The research was positivist, quantitative and descriptive in approach. A questionnaire was applied to 20 executives of the companies of domiciliary public services (Electricaribe, Asaa, Interaseo and Gases de la Guajira). The results showed how managers were not interested in technological management, mainly by showing neutral or negative values in indicators such as: training, implementing, learning and process/product integration. It was concluded that technological management is poorly implemented in the search for competitiveness in the market in which they operate, due to failures in essential elements for the implementation of the process. It is recommended that managers be encouraged to understand the importance of the process as a first step to its successful implementation.
