Abstract

Polarizations and angular dependies of the Raman bands of S8 and S12 ring species were determined. S8 rings displayed behaviour corresponding to the orientation of the rings by their fourfold axes. S12 rings displayed orientation to their threefold axes along threefold axes of zeolite. This method can also be used to determine the ratios between the Raman tensor components, determination of structure and orientation of organic or inorganic species in zeolites. The method was found to be promising tool for studying variety of properties of different species into cubic zeolites.
