Abstract

Schwannomas are relatively uncommon, benign nerve sheath tumors. Thoracic schwannomas most often appear in the posterior mediastinum. Pulmonary schwannomas are exceedingly rare and can present a diagnostic challenge. We present a case of an endobronchial schwannoma presenting with bronchial obstruction and review the literature of this unusual entity. © 2010 Published by European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.
