Abstract

The development of local commodities depends on the potential for increasing the value of products based on production processes and marketing networks and production partnerships with other regions. Automation technology is a medium to accelerate the production process and increase the variance of processed products. This paper proposes an automation strategy according to the level of increase in the value of local commodities. The strategy formulation starts with determining the value of the product as an output value-based commodity analysis chain, followed by the identification of the existing process technology. An increase in value is determined by the potential of current process technology and the potential for automation development. The determination of the automation strategy is based on increasing the value of the product, the efficiency of the process, the potential for automation partnerships between regions and an increase in business value.
