Abstract

The authors propose a new approach to the error analysis of hybridized mixed methods. An application is considered to the case of the following second order elliptic boundary value problems: $${\bold q} + {\bold a}({\bold x}) \text{grad } u = 0 \text { on } Ω,$$ $$\text {div} {\bold q} + d({\bold x)} u = f \text { on } Ω,$$ $$u = g \text { on } \partial Ω.$$
