Abstract

The purpose of this study is to put forward a method of 3D-city construction using Google Earth and Sketch Up. In this method, we input the height of the building using the photographing time of the image data of Google Earth and the shadow length measured by Sketch Up. The image data of Google Earth, as well as the shape of urban buildings, are recorded years and months and days taken. In addition, the photographing time of image data was calculated using the height and the shadow length of the overhead line system for electric trains.
