The objective of this study was to describe the use of authentic assessment by tenth grade Biology teachers of state senior high school in Tangerang Selatan. This study was carried out in the first half year of 2014/2015, started from October to December 2014. The survey method was used in this study. The technique of sampling was purposive sampling. The samples were: SMAN 3, SMAN 5, SMAN 9, and SMAN 11 Tangerang Selatan. We used non-test instruments which consisted of authentic assessment checklist sheet, teaching observation sheet, and questionnaire. By using descriptive percentage formula, we analyze quantitative data, and then the results were categorized according to parameter. The results showed that the worthiness level of attitude, knowledge, and skill assessment document of those research subjects were counted “suitable” category. The results of questionnaire and teaching observation showed that the use of authentic assessment in Biology teaching of state senior high school in Tangerang Selatan has been included in “good” category.
