Peran Website Puri Kauhan Ubud Dalam Upaya Preservasi Naskah Kuno Ubud Bali

Abstract

This study focuses on the existence of the website of Puri Kauhan Ubud as an effort to preserve the Ubud Lontar Manuscript. Based on the results of qualitative research with data collecting techniques using digital observations and literature studies conducted on the Puri Kauhan Ubud website as well as documentation and literature studies on the Digitization of Balinese Lontar Manuscripts. The research explains that one of the most valuable cultural heritages of the Indonesian ancestors is ancient manuscripts written in various scripts and languages. One of them is the Ubud Lontar Manuscript, which is a document of Ubud's ancestral heritage, which was written by hand in lontar media before being printed. There are 64 lontar manuscripts that are part of the puri's collection, to keep it sustainable, digitization activities are carried out. Digitization is the process of transferring media from printed, audio, or video forms, carried out to create digital document archives. Digitization requires equipment such as computers, scanners, operators, media, resources, and software. As an effort to preserve information, in 2019 Puri Kauhan Ubud launched the Purikauhanubud.org website which was created specifically for publication
