Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Prezi media on students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan, totaling 320 students. The sample consisted of 37 students, comprising the experimental class VIII-T1 (18 students) and the control class VIII-U (19 students). Data analysis was conducted through three stages: first, the normality test using Shapiro-Wilk; second, the homogeneity test using Levene’s Test; and third, the independent-samples t-test. The results showed that the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of the t-test was 0.002. Since this value is lower than the significance level of 0.05 (0.002 < 0.05), the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. These findings confirm that the PjBL model assisted by Prezi has a strong effect in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving skills.
