Abstract

The Electrical motors being versatile in various aspects, have found a wide application in present day industry as well as in day to day life of human beings. A modern and dependable control system is very much desirable. The main objective of this paper is to present the technical aspect of motor controls and its Industrial applications using PLC and SCADA. Automation is the process of using advanced technology to control equipment, which usually involves electrical hardware. Some of the practical circuits which involves the control of electrical motors for various applications including Agriculture in industrial automations are demonstrated in this paper. The control circuits are designed for PLC, Supervisory control and data acquisition and VFD. By applying any set of rules and proper ladder logic diagrams, any desired motor can be controlled and the results are made accurate for Industrial applications. Also there is a scope for improvement in the control structure which will make it more versatile and extensively used in the Automation Industries.
