Abstract

The structure of CuCl2, CuCl catalyst active centres on the surface of γ-Al2O3 has been investigated on the basis of X-ray diffraction analysis. The influence of the catalyst structure on the mechanism of ethylene oxidative chlorination has been determined. Using mass spectroscopy the difference in the structure of active centers and the mechanism of the deposited and impregnated types of CuCl2, CuCl/γ-Al2O3 catalysts in the process of ethylene oxidative chlorination into 1,2-dichlorethane has been studied. © Kurta S., 2012.
