Abstract
The purpose of this study is to ascertain how financial performance affects share prices of non-cyclical consumer sector businesses in the food and beverage subsector that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2019 and 2022. The current ratio, debt to equity ratio, return on equity, and total assets turnover are examples of financial performance, which is an independent variable in this study. In this study, a quantitative research methodology was adopted. For this study, secondary data from annual financial reports of non-cyclical consumer manufacturing firms in the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange were used. Purposive sampling was used in the sampling process to choose 78 samples overall from the population of 25 firms that satisfied the study's requirements. The SPSS program, version 29.0.2.0, was utilized to conduct the multiple linear regression analysis performed in this investigation. The study's findings demonstrate that the factors total assets turnover, return on equity, debt to equity ratio, and current ratio all significantly and favorably affect stock prices. The study's t test results demonstrate that there is no relationship between stock prices and the variables current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and total assets turnover. In the meanwhile, stock prices are significantly and favorably impacted by the return on equity variable. The findings of the coefficient of determination test indicate that, whereas other factors not included in this study account for 87.4% of the variation in share prices, the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, return on equity, and total assets turnover have a 12.6% effect.
