Such are, for example, requirements related to the specifics of the products, legislation, food safety, etc. Information technologies are successfully applied in the food supply chain. Blockchain is a new concept that has attracted increasing attention in recent years. Blockchain is a decentralized and distributed record of transactions that are stored in blocks and linked sequentially in a chain. It represents an innovative way of managing and exchanging data and information. Blockchain technology can improve the supply chain in the food industry in a variety of ways, providing greater transparency, security, and efficiency.
