Abstract
This study aims to describe the application, problems, and efforts to apply the jarimatics method in learning mathematics on multiplication fractions for fifth grade students at SDN 4 Sambik Bangkol. The subjects of this study were 15 fifth grade students at SDN 4 Sambik Bangkol in Gangga District, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study showed that the numeracy skills of fifth grade students at SDN 4 Sambik Bangkol increased after the application of the jarimatics method to learning mathematics, this can be seen from the results of the comparison of pretest and posttest numbering scores. . At the time of the pretest, the Numeration Level 2 Class 5 Pretest score had a presentation of 40%, while the Posttest Numeration Level 2 Class 5 scoring results had a presentation of 46%, including the medium value interval category. Therefore, the numeracy skills of fifth grade students who learn using the jarimatics method are better than those using the usual method.
