Abstract
Upper Cinca basin, located on the southern side of the Pyrenees, is a nigged topography area with abundant average precipitation where an important altitudinal gradient is observed. It is very important, for the pluviometric description, to make use of data originated from different heights. We have used the data from the Meteorologic National Institute (INM) raingages, located in some villages of the area, and from the totalizators set up by the electric power companies at great heights. The rainfall-height correlations done for the three areas in which we have divided Upper Cinca basin show different perfomance, with gradients becoming less and less intensive from W to E, which is shown in the annual mean rainfall map.
