Abstract

A high-pressure X-ray diffraction cell was developed, capable of causing X-ray diffraction of a specimen placed under purely hydrostatic high pressures up to 5000kg/cm 2 • From the shifts of the diffraction lines induced by these pressures, the strain (s) of an interplanar spacing (do) (s=Lld/do) was obtained and plotted against pressure.
