Abstract

A well-prepared abstract enables the reader to identify the basic content This research is aimed to identify the utterances of bald on record Face Threatening Acts, to analyze its translation techniques and its translation quality in the comic entitled Scrooge McDuck’s Greatest Treasure by Carl Bark. This research is a qualitative research. The source of research is the Scrooge McDuck’s Greatest Treasure comic with its translation and the informan who assessed the translation quality. The data is speech which represent the bald on record utterances. The data are collected using document analysis and Focus Group Discussion. The research found 84 data which represent bald on record utterance in the comic. The translation techniques is dominated by established equivalence. The translation quality shows that the accuracy is 2,85, acceptability is 3 and readability is 2,95.
