Abstract

We report laboratory measurements of the Zeeman response of lines in the 0-0 Wing-Ford band of the F-X system (λ ∼ 1 μm) of FeH, measured in magnetic fields 0.3 - 0.5 Tesla. New Landé factors are used to deduce the magnetic field in sunspots from Stokes V profiles recorded at the solar telescope THEMIS. The magnetic field deduced from atomic lines (Ti, Fe) is slightly higher than that found from FeH. © The Author(s) 2013.
