The present paper indicates the different open slopes in the study of the commons, especially within the new commons. Subsequently, a frame of reference is constructed between the Social and Solidarity Economy and the study of commons using the conceptual lines that link both theories. Finally, this framework is applied to a case study of new thematic commons that is configured as an initiative of Social and Solidarity Economy: El Ecomercado de Granada. This Ecomercado pursues higher food quality and a different way of understanding agrifood and economic relations in the city.
