Abstract

The Solar power plant is one of the alternative sources of electrical energy that is part of Indonesians national energy mix plan in Indonesia. The use of rooftop solar power plants became one of the programs proposed by the government to fulfill the plan. The problems found from this research are many that encourage factors to make prospective rooftop solar power plant users in Indonesia use this power generation. Because as we know, these systems are high costs and skill is needed to calculate the capacity. Data collection will be carried out by surveying the solar panel enthusiast community and potential solar power plant users then the data obtained will be processed using a path method to see what encourage factors that have a high effect on user decision to use rooftop solar power system for their household electrification. The data obtained from these results will be used as a reference to support the implementation of the government program to run smoothly. The result shows that competence and benevolence are two driving factors that have high effect on people decision to use solar panel systems. Therefore, the government can take advantage of these two factors to increase public enthusiasm for using solar power system to achieve the target.
