Abstract

On 27 April and 21 July 2025, ixodid ticks were collected using the flagging method on the Notsuke Peninsula, Betsukai Town, Nemuro District, Hokkaido, Japan. Two species, Haemaphysalis concinna and H. longicornis (Acari: Ixodidae), were collected. Haemaphysalis concinna was dominant in the Peninsula and collected mainly as adults in April, whereas most were nymphs in July. The Notsuke Peninsula is currently the only confirmed locality in Hokkaido where H. concinna is abundant.
