Abstract

Fe3O4 nanoparticles with TEOS addition had been successfully synthesized used the coprecipitation method. The thermal conductivity of Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated with TEOS was analyzed. The stability of nanolubricant on Fe3O4 nanoparticles with the addition of TEOS 1.2ml was homogeneous. The value of thermal conductivity also increases due to TEOS addition on Fe3O4 nanoparticles in a volume fraction of 0.8% of 1,631W/m.K and the heat of the type produced was 718.44J/kg.K. It was found that the particle velocity falling to the bottom of the container was 0.034 m / s. Based on this results, it can be said that Fe3O4 nanoparticles could produce good nano-lubricant.
