Abstract

RESUMO Este é um auto-perfil intelectual. O autor começa a identificar as influências políticas e teóricas que teve, quando jovem, de sua família e de intelectuais como Marx, Weber e Keynes, no exterior, e de Furtado e Rangel, no Brasil. Ele divide suas contribuições em histórico e teórico. As análises históricas são, por sua vez, subdivididas nas que tratam especificamente do Brasil e da América Latina e a outra referente a mudanças na economia e sociedade contemporâneas do mundo. As contribuições teóricas são as de caráter lógico-dedutivo ou metodológico, e não histórico-indutivo. Na conclusão, o autor faz uma avaliação geral do trabalho realizado, que também é um programa de pesquisa para o futuro.ABSTRACT This is an intellectual self-profile. The author starts identifying the political and theoretical influences he had, as a young man, from his family, and from intellectuals as Marx, Weber and Keynes, abroad, and from Furtado and Rangel, in Brazil. He divides his contributions in historical and theoretical. The historical analyses are, on their turn, subdivided on the ones dealing specifically with Brazil and Latin America and the other referring to changes in contemporary world economy and society. The theoretical contributions are the ones rather of logical-deductive, or methodological, than of historical-inductive, character. In the conclusion the author makes a general evaluation of the work done, that is also a research program for the future.
