Abstract

We studied the distribuiton and abundance of two prosobranch snails (Melanopsis praemorsa and Melanoides tuberculata) in a thermal spring (27°C) in southeast Morocco. Of the physicochemical and ecological parameters measured, food availability and water velocity appeared to be the main factors affecting the spatial distribution of these snails. © 1997, Copyright Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
