Abstract

This research studies the variables that affect loyalty of university students to their educational institutions. Three main variables have been identified: quality, satisfaction, and trust. Loyalty contributes to student retention, as well as word of mouth recommendation from the student. As students leave their higher education institutions before completing their careers, the student population decreases. For private institutions, the monetary income for the institution decreases. For public institutions, the efficiency of the institution decreases, and public resources are wasted. The project will answer the research question: What are the variables that influence student loyalty to their higher education institutions? The hypotheses will propose an answer to the research question and will help improve loyalty. The model proposed in thisresearch will contribute to understand loyalty. The final report of the project will give recommendations to increase the loyalty of university students to their educationalinstitutions.
