Description of a second species of the genus Xenohyla (Anura: Hylidae)

Abstract

The second known species of the genus Xenohyla is described from the State of Bahia, Brazil. The new species is distinguished from X. truncata mainly by the retention of young color pattern in adults, and by inhabiting completely different environment, associated to disjunct distribution and distinct habitat.
