Abstract

The objective of the research was to establish an index of stochastic similarity based on the perceptions of the students of 14 pedagogical careers, and to propose, in terms of centrality and probabilities of achievement, an integral profile. For this, an ideal and standard graduate profile was created, which was called an integral profile, and that allowed monitoring the achievement of the profile in terms of probability. The instrument for measuring perceptions and similarity index is structured in 84 indicators divided into six categories or domains. It was applied to 378 students of pedagogy from different cohorts and faculties of a regional university in Chile. The analysis of the data allows having an objective criterion of decision, allowing to optimize the interventions. It also permitted establishing a measure for monitoring the achievement of the graduation profile of the pedagogy students per year of graduation.
