ACTIVE ANTENNAS.

Abstract

The article presents preliminary results of an investigation of active antennas. The data obtained show that the capabilities of miniaturized antennas must not be overemphasized since the connection of active elements into the antenna ″proper″ before the feeder merely makes it possible to transmit a small signal through the feeder more efficiently. Nevertheless, it turns out that implementation of this concept can be of help in the solution of certain practical problems related to the use of small-size antennas as well as for suppressing the antenna effect.
