Abstract

This text aims to reflect about the treatment of cultural heritage in Sao Paulo, which involves considering, firstly, the registration as a measure of public protection and enhancement of the cultural heritage and, secondly, decisions that lead to revoke a deferred protection and contribute to distortion of the cultural heritage, their abandonment and often, their demolition.
