Abstract

Abstract. A new species Laelaspis cheliceratussp. nov. is described from the Philippines based on the materials located in Ohio State University Acarology Laboratory (OSAL) collection. Some morphological characters of two species of Berlese collection, L. regalis Berlese and L. aviator Berlese have been discussed. Laelaspis dubitatus Hunter was considered as a junior synonym of L. regalis. Some notes concerning Laelaspis dariusi and L. guilaniensis Ramroodi, Joharchi and Hajizadeh were presented in comparison with Berlese species.
